BROKEN RECORDS SELECTS 5 PREMIER ARTISTS FOR NEW LABEL
Artists selected from talent pool on Indieheaven.com

NASHVILLE, TN-CCM’s newest label, BROKEN RECORDS, is excited to announce the signing of five premiere artists as it breaks new ground in Christian Music. The artists are Amy Berna, Anyday, Broken, Gabriel and L-Rey.

Broken Records president, Keith Mohr states, “Our new artists represent dedicated, passionate, compassionate creatives who share our mission to serve God and serve others through the medium of music. They are active in their missions, busy in their communities and regions, bringing quality content and a message of hope. They are grounded in Psalm 51:17, A broken and contrite heart, God will not despise. I am so excited to partner with them to help these artists grow and go!”

The new Nashville-based artist label will partner with active independent artists through a uniquely created “180 Deal.” “It’s the opposite of the 360 deal that record labels are offering these days,” says Mohr. Unlike most deals today, Broken Records won’t demand a percentage of an artist’s merchandise sales, live performance and other income.

“We’ll leave it up to our artists to sow back into the label to help everyone grow and go as they see value in our partnership,” explains Mohr. “It is a different way of approaching the artist/label dynamic, and one we believe will be beneficial to all. We must be different than the mainstream music industry and lead the way in this new and exciting time!”

Expect more artist signings to Broken Records throughout 2010. Artists will be selected from members of Indieheaven.com based on their activity and engagement in their missions.
